Christmas Ease

December 01 2021

Feeling overwhelmed or anxious by the financial demands of Christmas? Anne-Marie Macken shares some reflections to bring ease to you as you move forward through December. Reading Time: 1 minute.

The Christmas story of a baby born in a manger is one of hope, survival and love. If you are feeling overwhelmed due to the ‘demands of Christmas’ try to reconnect with this and know always that your net worth is not a measure of your self-worth 🕯

The true meaning of Christmas, to me at least, is not to shower each other with material gifts. It’s a celebration of light, peace, joy and togetherness ✝️

Hope, Survival, Love

In years to come, your friends and family, especially your children, are unlikely to remember the expensive gifts you bought them. They will most certainly remember how present you were with them, the fun, the joy and the togetherness 🎄👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Decide now how you want to move through December and what's really important to you this Christmas. Be easy with yourself and if you find yourself getting caught up in the hustle, bustle, stress and mayhem, simply begin again 💖

Christmas togetherness

May you have fun, joy and togetherness this Christmas in so far as circumstances allow. And yes, buy and exchange gifts remembering that thoughtfulness and creativity rather than the price tag are what will be treasured most by the recipient 💝🎁
