Money Coaching Ireland is committed to protecting your personal data. Personal data is any information that can be used directly or indirectly to find out your identity. This includes such information as your name, postal address, email address, telephone number and other characteristics about your identity.

We will never sell or lease your personal data to third parties, and will only retain this information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or regulation.

2. Who We Are

Money Coaching Ireland is a registered business name of Create Coaching Ltd, which offers coaching and financial education services and is based in Dublin, Ireland. We are company number 676713 registered in Ireland. References to ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘Money Coaching Ireland’ in this policy refer to Create Coaching Ltd trading as Money Coaching Ireland. Money Coaching Ireland collects personal data where individuals contact or request information from Money Coaching Ireland or engage the services of Money Coaching Ireland.

4. How We Process Your Data

The various ways in which Money Coaching Ireland receives and processes your personal data for the purpose of carrying out our business are set out below.

4.1 Website access and use

Money Coaching Ireland does not use Cookies on our website. We do not identify you or keep any information (e.g. IP address) when you access our website.

We use Netlify to host our site. Netlify may gather the following personal data about you when you access our website:

Access logs including the IP addresses of your site visitors, stored for less than 30 days;
Login information;
Customer contact information (name, email, phone, physical address)

If you send an email via the Contact Form on our website, contact details and related information you supply will only be used to contact you about that specific request.

If you would like to subscribe to our mailing list, you can do so on the Home, Contact or Blog Pages of our website. By subscribing to our mailing list, you are consenting to receive our quarterly email newsletter, monthly money tips and to receive occasional emails from us with regard to events or promotions that we may be running. We use MailerLite to manage our subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. MailerLite may collect and process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. MailerLite is fully GDPR compliant and its’ Privacy Policy is available here. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.

We use Calendly as our scheduling system. In addition to the information you provide to schedule an appointment with Money Coaching Ireland such as name, email address, date and time, Calendly also collects information automatically such as your log and device data, cookie data and other website analytics. Any links to external websites are clearly identifiable as such. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of these external websites.

4.2 Working with us

If you become a client of Money Coaching Ireland, we will ask you for relevant data relating to carrying out our services. This will include your name, email address, contact telephone number, completion of questionnaires, completion of surveys, feedback forms, information on your financial status and any other relevant documentation required by us for the delivery of an effective coaching service to you.

4.3 Interacting with us on social media

Money Coaching Ireland also receives personal data through its social media interactions on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. We operate social media accounts on these platforms in support of our mission to bring ease to how people USE (understand, spend and earn) money. Messages or posts received by us on these social media platforms are viewed by Money Coaching Ireland but the personal data contained in the messages/posts is not logged or stored other than on the relevant social medial platform and no further processing of such personal data is carried out by us.

5. What is the Legal Basis for the Processing of Your Personal Data?

We will only use your personal data when legally permitted. The legal basis for the processing of personal data by Money Coaching Ireland depends on the legislative framework that applies and the purpose for which the processing is being carried out.

The most common uses of your personal data are:

To carry out the contract between you and Money Coaching Ireland;
Where it is necessary for the legitimate interests of Money Coaching Ireland or one of its trusted ListIteme providers and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests;
Where we need to comply with a legal obligation.

Generally, we do not rely on consent as a legal ground for processing your personal data, other than in relation to sending marketing communications to you via email. You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button on the email.

When you become a client, Money Coaching Ireland will use your data in order to carry out the contract agreed between you and Money Coaching Ireland. In addition, Money Coaching Ireland may process personal data for the purposes of their legitimate interests provided such processing doesn’t outweigh your rights and freedoms. For example, Money Coaching Ireland may process personal data to:

  • Comply with laws that apply to the business;
  • Enable or administer the business, such as for quality control, consolidated reporting, and customer service;
  • Understand and improve the business or client relationships generally.

6. Who Has Access to My Data?

Access is restricted to essential personnel of Money Coaching Ireland who are bound by their professional ethics and/or confidentiality agreements. In particular, Money Coaching Ireland is bound by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Global code of ethics when it comes to privacy and confidentiality related standards.

We do use trusted service providers who could be considered data processors, sub-processors or third parties. We require all third parties to have appropriate technical and operational security measures in place to protect your personal data, in line with Irish and EU laws on data protection. Any such organisation or individual will have access to personal information needed to perform these functions but may not use it for any other purpose.

7. How do We Store Your Data?

The information and files that Money Coaching Ireland collects from you are stored on our secure cloud storage system. In addition, limited and specific personal data is stored on the secure storage systems of our trusted service providers to enable them to perform the functions for which they have been engaged.

8. How Long do We Keep Your Personal Data?

We have a documented data retention schedule. Generally, we will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it. We may also retain certain personal data during the period of time needed to complete our legitimate business operations, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. The retention period for your personal data in a format that allows you to be identified will never exceed 7 years and will always be kept to the minimum period deemed necessary to:

provide you with the services you have requested;
comply with other law, including for the period demanded by our tax authorities;
to support a claim or defence in court.

9. What are My Rights?

You are entitled to have your personal data protected, used in a fair and legal way, and made available to you when you ask for a copy. If your personal information is incorrect, you are entitled to ask for that information to be corrected. 9.1. How do I access my personal data?

Money Coaching Ireland will provide you with access to your personal data on request. You can ask for your data to be amended if it is inaccurate, deleted, or transferred to you in a common format. This will be done within one month of your request.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is manifestly unfounded or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with the request in such circumstances.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is another appropriate security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.

9.2 What happens if my data is lost or stolen?

Money Coaching Ireland undertakes to report all significant data breaches to the Data Protection Commissioner within 72 hours of the breach occurring, unless the personal data breach is unlikely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms as an individual.

Money Coaching Ireland also undertakes to document the facts relating to the breach, its effect, and any remedial action taken.  If the personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, Money Coaching Ireland shall communicate the personal data breach to you without undue delay.

9.3 Can I have my data erased?

You can withdraw your consent for the storage of your personal data at any time. The data will then be deleted immediately provided that it is not prescribed by law or needed for billing or accounting purposes or as soon as these purposes are fulfilled.

9.4 How do I make a complaint?

We hope that you will never have a reason to complain about Money Coaching Ireland and how we manage your personal data. If you do have concerns please send us an email so that we can work with you to put things right.
