The Wise and Foolish Builders

August 06 2024

In this article, I use the analogy of the Wise and Foolish Builders to explain why I place so much emphasis on money mindset 👷👷‍♂️ Reading time: 1 minute

The wise builder builds his house on a solid foundation of rock. The foolish builder builds his house on sand. When the storm hits, the house on the rock stands firm. The house on the sand collapses with a great crash ⚡

Those who base their sense of security and freedom solely on their financial situation are like the foolish builder. When everything is calm, you may feel superficially confident in the financial house you have built. Deep down, however, there is a fear that, at any time things could change and your house could come crashing down.

Those who derive their sense of security and freedom from their mindset are like the wise builder. You can enjoy your financial house knowing that your inner resilience will help you weather any storms that come your way.

This doesn’t mean that the wise builder ignores his financial situation. Quite the opposite. With a solid internal foundation, he has more capacity to review and strengthen his financial situation. By cultivating a strong money mindset, my clients feel empowered to take action to improve their financial situation.

A healthy relationship with money and a robust financial situation lead to a more satisfying, enjoyable and easier life. And who doesn’t want that?
